R&Duro Bearing Throttle Install
In this video, Tracy walks through a full R&Duro Throttle Housing install on his KTM 300, start to …finish. If you have ever wanted a smoother, more precise throttle feel, or you are just tired of a worn-out stock housing, this is one of the easiest upgrades you can make. Tracy covers removal, the swap, cable routing, and the details that make the difference.
The R&Duro Throttle Housing is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and uses a specialized cam that changes the rate of the throttle pull for better control and feel. It fits KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas, so this walkthrough applies whether you are on a 250 or 300 two-stroke or a four-stroke.
What Tracy covers:
– Removing the stock throttle housing and tube
– Installing the R&Duro housing and transferring the cable
– Setting throttle free-play and checking for smooth, snag-free operation
– Final fitment and a quick feel test
The most important step: take your time setting the cable and free-play so the throttle snaps back cleanly with no binding through the full range of the bars. Get that right and you will feel the difference the first time you twist it.
