Tire Sizes Don't Make Sense…

When you’re shopping for a new tire, you might be looking for one that provides more clearance for your exhaust, or gives you a larger footprint. You open the box, …you install it, and unfortunately, it’s not the fit you were looking for.

The industry standard is to measure the carcass width, and not the knob width – which causes issues. In this case, a “wide 110” is almost the same dimensions at the edge of the knobs as a “narrow 140.”

If you are looking at swapping to a new tire that you aren’t familiar with to solve either a fitment issue or just find the most suitable option for your ride, your best bet is going to be to call us, send us an email, or leave us a comment down below.
